Outlaw Turf wasn't born in a boardroom, it was born in the dirt of the Permian Basin.

Our story began over 25 years ago as Apex Buildings, where we learned that in West Texas, if you don’t build for the wind and the heat, you aren’t building at all. That foundation of excellence led us to launch Amazon Backyards, where we became the region’s trusted experts in luxury hot tubs, pools, and outdoor amenities.

In 2026, we saw a gap in the market. Local homeowners were tired of "disposable" landscaping: turf that smelled, fences that rotted, and installers who disappeared. We launched Outlaw Turf to bring the same engineering rigor used in our luxury hot tubs to the very ground you walk on.

The Outlaw Philosophy: Why "Outlaw"?
